Poojya Sri. S. Kariappa
Rural Education Society was established in year 1932 has a legacy about 92 years. Sri S. Kariappa a well Known Gandhian was born in Sorekayidoddi village, Sathanuru hobli, Kanakapura taluk on Ramanavami in 1900. He was the first graduate of Mysore University from Kanakapura in 1929. He was a MLA for four times and a true follower of Gandhi and his freedom movement. He led a saintly life remaining as bachelor throughout his whole life dedicating himself for education of the rural people.
Founded in 2001, Agriscience College began with a vision to integrate innovative teaching methods in agriculture, responding to the growing need for sustainable farming education in a key agricultural region.

Sri S. Kariappa College of Agriculture is having the tradition of imparting education to the Rural People for more than 82 years. The alumini of this institute are spread across the the globe in reputed international and national institutes . it has the experience of imparting the quality education with requrired infrasture and field facilities for Agriculture learning. It is the first affillited private Agriculture College to University of Agriculture Sciences, GKVK, Bangalore. At present it is the first private college in the entire karanataka affillated to UAS, Bangalore having quota under management for providing the admission to desirous students under payment seats.
